Islamic Relief Palestine established a center for psychosocial counseling in Gaza City. The centre
aims to create healthy atmosphere for children, through psychological support, educational support
and other recreational activities. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies in Gaza City.

Title: Project Coordinator
Ref: PC-CW-26-2010
Duration: One year (Full Time)
Main Duties:
1-Overall managing the centre operations as well as staff.
2-Assisting in the preparation of the center strategy with CWPM.
3-Providing direction, supervision and management to the support team,
including the development of their job descriptions and work plans.
4-Coordinating with local and international NGOs and other official agencies, accordance with IRPAL policy and code of conduct.
5-Outlining the resources requirement of the centre and periodically assess appropriateness to meeting short and long-term needs.
6-Participate in and approve management plans on clients needs.
7-Approve client’s referral to other institution.
8-Describe and approve any medications needed for clients.
Candidates must possess the following competencies:
1-A bachelor degree from an accredited University in Medicine with mental health background.
2-Master Degree in management, or at least five years experience in management position at the same field.
3-At least three years of mental health and psychosocial care experience.
4-Have a good knowledge in Child Protection principles.
5-Commitment and sympathy to the plight of the poor and disadvantaged.
6-Excellent written and spoken English as well as Arabic language.
7-Energetic and able to work under stressful conditions meeting strict deadlines.
8-Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Access and Power Point.
General Skills required for all applicants :
-Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
-Interpersonal skills and good communication skills. Good computer Skills.
-English language skills.

Main Duties: Responsible mainly for community education particularly awareness and training, community mobilization and cooperation with related organizations. Develop and maintain referral system from and to the centre.
Candidates must posses the following competencies:
-Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health.
-Three years experience in mental health.
-Knowledge and skills in assessment or mental health evaluations on clients as required
